Ground Control Roster for Round #8
Thanks again to all the extra hands that help to keep the Brumbies running every week. As a community football club, run entirely by volunteers, it’s up to all of us to pitch in and do our bit to keep things going.
So thank you! Thank you!
Without your help there would be no football (or bacon!).
You can view the Ground Control roster on the website linked below.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding Ground Duty, please contact our Draw Secretary Michael Hulskamp (draw_secretary@bangorbrumbies.org.au) as soon as possible.
Brumbies of the week!
Our Brumbies of the Week for Round 7 are the Tyson Family!
Kieran is a member of our AL12s who unfortunately picked up an injury earlier in the week and was unable to play on Sunday. Nevertheless, Kieran, his wife Emma and their three kids came along to The Ridge on Mother’s Day to cheer on their team and run the barbecue during their game. Even the grandparents dropped in to say hello!
Mother’s Day is one of the hardest days for us to get coverage at our grounds and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who came along and lent a hand. It is volunteers like you that make a massive difference in our communities every day!
This week’s honourable mentions go the W11As for excellent sportsmanship and to Liam from the U14Ds for a great performance, scoring two goals to help his team to a 3-2 win over Barden Ridge.
Thank you to everyone who sent in a nomination! Who will be our next Brumby of the Week? To nominate a player, send a message to our Facebook page by 9pm Sunday with a photo as well as their name, team and why you think they should be crowned Brumby of the Week.
