Round #14: MiniRoo Sideline Behaviour

What a great night we had last week for our Bangor FC Trivia Night

Thanks to everyone who came along. Thanks to our sponsors for all the brilliant prizes. And a huge thank you to Adeline for all your hard work to make the night happen.

Have a great weekend, and I hope you all enjoy your games in good spirits — on the field and on the sidelines too.

Go Brumbies!

MiniRoo Sideline Behaviour

An important note from the SSFA

The SSFA would like to share our collective concern about the sharp increase in abuse and incidents during the 2023 season.

We believe it is time to take a stand and remind EVERYONE that your MiniRoo football matches on the weekend are not a platform or arena for poor behaviour, or for abusing and confronting each other on the sideline.

It is particularly important that this message sinks in with respect to ALL MiniRoo referees, both during and after matches.

Just, remember that the majority of MiniRoo referees are aged between 12 to 16 years old. One day to might be your child refereeing!

Make no mistake: poor behaviour amongst players, spectators (parents), towards  MiniRoo referees and each other should NOT be tolerated.

BUT it’s not just the MiniRoo referees that deserve respect – it is all of you!

Everyone deserves to be able to attend matches without being abused, so the time has come for EVERYONE to understand that enough is enough.

Let’s finish the 2023 season on a positive note!

The 2023 Bangor FC Trivia Night was a huge success

And the winner is… JAPAN!

On Saturday 24 June, the Bangor FC Women’s World Cup Trivia Night took place at Club on East at Sutherland. Oh what a night it was!!

We had approximately 150 of our Brumby supporters in attendance with each table being allocated a Women’s World Cup country to support.

Each table went to great lengths to dress up to their country’s theme and the rivalry was on between the tables to take out the ultimate prize of Trivia winner.

Congratulations to the Japan table on their well deserved win!!

We also had some amazing prizes up for grabs in our raffle and silent auctions generously donated by our trivia night sponsors. It was a great night of laughter, fun and community spirit. Thank you to everyone who attended.

So thank you! Thank you!

Without your help there would be no football (or bacon!).

Brumby of the week!

Our Brumby of the Week for Round 13 is Adeline

The Brumbies run on volunteers and there is no better example this week than Adeline, the chief organiser of our 2023 Trivia Night. It took many weeks of work to pull together all the sponsors and make this event such a success. Top work!

This week’s honourable mention goes to Team Japan for terrific teamwork to win the 2023 Bangor FC Trivia title.

Thank you to everyone who sent in a nomination! Who will be our next Brumby of the Week? To nominate a player, send a message to our Facebook page by 9pm Sunday with a photo as well as their name, team and why you think they should be crowned Brumby of the Week.
